Services for Adults

The psychologists and psychiatrists of WVFC provide a wide range of services to the adult client. These include: crisis counseling, problem solving in situational distress, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, couples counseling, parent support, grief counseling, drug and alcohol counseling, etc.

The psychologists and psychiatrists of WVFC are trained in a range of up to date effective treatment modalities suited for the various needs of our clients.

Children and Adolescents

Assessment and treatment for child and adolescent behavioral problems and emotional difficulties.

Psychometric testing and assessment of cognitive functioning and learning difficulties.

Intervention and counseling for a variety of difficulties including:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Attention-Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Management of oppositional and defiant behavior
  • Conduct problems
  • School and other adjustment difficulties
  • Dealing with self-harm
  • Teasing and bullying
  • Life stressors
  • Loss and grief
  • Social skills training
  • Developmental difficulties
  • Dealing with family separation and divorce.

Services for Couples

The psychologists of WVFC provide therapeutic services to couples or people having relational issues. The services include:  premarital counseling, communication strengthening, post affair reconciliation, conflict resolution, marriage enhancement, non-legal divorce mediation, etc.

Our goal is to reduce relational distress as well as strengthen the bonds between people.  Some insurance carriers do not cover marital therapy.
